Brodie Bennett
Brodie has been at the helm of Specialized since January 2020.
A tough introduction to a new business with COVID-19 putting a stop to the gym operations within the first couple of months but this hasn’t stopped the transformation.
Brodie has put together a great crew of staff who ensure Specialized is the place to be for all your training and recovery needs.
You’ll often see Brodie running group fitness classes, Strength and conditioning programs and is generally floating around the place most days.
Brodie is rapt with the transformation so far but is excited to see what the future holds for Specialized Performance and Recovery.
He urges anymore wanting to peruse a healthy lifestyle and start their fitness journey or anyone who wants a change and wants to join an ever growing, fun loving community to come down to SPR and see what all the fuss is about.
Keeley Smith
Keeley is our Pilates Studio Manager. Completing her Certificate IV in Mat & Reformer Pilates in 2021, diving straight into taking classes.
You will see Keeley running day to day tasks at the gym and completing the behind the scenes work to ensure a smooth day to day running of the gym.
Rachel Paull
Rach has been a personal trainer for over 6 years, and has spent the last 4 years running her own Personal Training business FIT-R Personal Training. She has completed both pre and post natal exercise courses, a technical lifting course and a matwork Pilates course.
Whilst Rach loves strength training and prioritising functional strength, she loves to push her clients and those in all group fitness classes to work hard. Whether it be in classes like spin, strength classes or the child friendly classes or one on one sessions you’re sure to get a good workout!
Teagan Lawry
Teagan is a Lady that wears many hats - she is a mum to 3 beautiful children, a primary school teacher, a passionate netball and basketball coach and has just recently added group fitness instructor to her repertoire.
Fitness is a passion of Teagan's so if she is not instructing the class she'll be working out instead.
Teags is a massive asset to the SPR team, although she doesn’t teach every week, she is sure to draw a crowd when she does.
Milly Opt'Hoog
Milly is a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Master's in Exercise Physiology. Her passions include Women's Health, Exercise Rehabilitation, and assisting high-performance athletes in achieving their sporting goals.
She loves working with people from all walks of life, helping them reach their full potential while sharing a good laugh along the way. Whether you're an athlete or someone looking to improve your overall well-being, Milly is your friendly and professional guide to a healthier, happier you.
Jake Schmidt
Jake has worked in the health and fitness industry for a number of years and has great knowledge in both areas. He has a background in gym sales which has seen him travel and work in places like Townsville, Auckland, Bunbury WA, Hervey Bay, Maddington WA, Ryw.
Jake is a qualified personal trainer who loves pushing you to your limits during classes and PT’s. He will undoubtedly get the best out of each member at the gym who he comes into contact with.
Jake trains as hard as he coaches. You’ll often see Jake sweating bullets doing a class with the crew he often trains!
Thayla Rivett
We welcomed Thayla to the Pilates team in late 2022 after completing her Certificate 4 in Reformer Pilates with ‘Studio Pilates’.
Between studying in Melbourne, working locally, playing netball and teaching with us at SPR Thayla is sure to give you the motivation you need to complete your workout.
Thayla will challenge your Pilates abilities and push you to your limits, you’ll be sure to wake up discovering new muscles post class. Her classes are always suited for all fitness levels, progressing or regressing each exercise for you as required.
